16:40In today's post I decided to talk a little about the icons that, not only inspire me in terms of outfits but also show that being in fashion is much more than a cute outfit or a risky haircut.
What most people don't understand is that fashion is not just 'looking good' or even being 'vain'... When people invest on their looks what they are really trying to do is showing people who they are, how they feel without having to open their mouth: this is something behond the eye... Fashion is a state of mind.
I love raw photos... Photos where there isn't a pose... Photos that were an impulse or photos with the aim of being a recall. The more raw the photo is the more you can connect with it. Alexa Chung trasmits really easily her attitude through familiar simple photos.
It's a fact that Kate Moss it's not only a pretty face. Her beauty is something that doesn't come only from her looks but from all the surroundings. No doubt that neither makeup nor outfits make her beauty!
Rachel Green was my fashion crush since I started watching FRIENDS. I must confess that I wasn't much a pro-risks but Rachel's wardrobe was to die for and I wanted it so bad!
I love Winona Ryder and I love Heathers. I even bought a skirt similar to hers (1st photo). While seeing these photos, I realise that some of these pieces are definitely doing a comeback and that's such a relief because, otherwise, it would be extremely difficult to find them.
I love Carrie and I recall watching 'Sex and the City' secreatly because I knew I shouldn't but the glamour of her outfits (let's be honest who can resist that pink dress??) and the dream of having her career got my complete attention... I could dedicate a whole post to the beautiful Carrie Bradshaw! I envy her dresses, her shoes, her coats....
